Based on our classic Connery collar as worn by Sean Connery in the early James Bond films, same spread, same collar point depth, same collar height, but with the corners rounded. The collar is also known as a penny round in the trade, as a penny coin was put on the corner of the collar pattern and simply drawn around, hence the name. We pair this collar with our cocktail cuffs, a two button turnback cuff, known in continental Europe as a casino cuff. Due to the popularity of the early films, this cuff is also now known as a James Bond cuff.
Made of very fine Egyptian 170/2 ply cotton, cotton of this quality is not harvested everyday. It is exceedingly soft and is rarely used, only for the finest bespoke shirts.
This cotton is so fine many shirt makers consider it above Sea Island quality.
